Multiplication of Integers

In multiplying integers, we need to consider the following rules:

I. If you multiply same sign numbers the product would be POSITIVE.
               (positive)(positive) = ( positive)
               (negative)(negative) = (positive)

II. If you multiply different sign numbers the product would be NEGATIVE.
                (positive)(negative) = (negative)
                (negative)(positive) = (negative)

Division of Integers

In dividing integers we follow the following rules:

I. If the numbers are same signs the quotient should be POSITIVE.
           negative / negative = positive
           positive / positive = positive

II. If the numbers are different signs the quotient should be NEGATIVE.
           negative / positive = negative
           positive / negative = negative
